Portslade lies between Brighton and Worthing on the Sussex coast.
From within the Brighton and Hove area we are best approached from the
Old Shoreham Road. Turn north into Locks Hill at the Southern Cross traffic
lights in Portslade. (Tates garage is on the corner.) Follow the road
till it bends left round a park, then right into the old village. As the
road bends sharp left, continue straight on; the Veneer Workshop is on
your left.
From the west we are best approached on the A27. From Worthing
travel east through Lancing, cross the River Adur and go through a tunnel
under the South Downs. Take the next exit at the Hangleton Interchange
and after ¼ mile turn right at the roundabout. Take the third left up the
hill, then at the T-junction turn right. Travel down the hill. South Street
is at the very bottom on your left.
From the east follow the A27 Brighton by-pass past the A23 turn
off and go up a long straight hill and over the summit. After ¾ mile turn
left at the Hangleton Interchange. After ¼ mile turn right at the roundabout
. Take the third left up the hill, then at the T-junction turn right.
Travel down the hill. South Street is at the very bottom on your left.
From the north approach Brighton on the A23. The road passes under
a dual carriageway. Follow signposts to Hove and go up a long straight hill
and over the summit. After ¾ mile turn left at the Hangleton Interchange.
After ¼ mile turn right at the roundabout. Take the third left up the hill,
then at the T-junction turn right. Travel down the hill. South Street is at
the very bottom on your left.
